Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, Chef Walter Brooks grew up with jalapeños as a staple of the household, with its moderate heat and fresh flavor. Those taste memories led him to this adventurous, yet balanced, tomato condiment. Try it on your burgers, hot dogs, plant-based sandwiches or sausage rolls, dunk fries in it, or serve it as a sweet-and-spicy chutney alongside Indian, Middle Eastern or African cuisine. As delicious with fritters and samosas as with good old chicken nuggets!
For a quick and hearty meal, add to browned ground turkey, onions, black beans and corn kernels and simmer in vegetable broth or water.
Chef Walter Brooks created his line of gourmet, clean-label sauces to make it easy for everyone to create delicious, soulful food in the comfort of their kitchens, while helping cultivate the next generation of Black entrepreneurs.
